Looking forward to many more meetings in the future.</p>http://allenstartsover.tumblr.com/post/49829534895http://allenstartsover.tumblr.com/post/49829534895Mon, 06 May 2013 22:17:57 -0500<img src="http://25.media.tumblr.com/eca30b272907d73c47cf216be66656cf/tumblr_mmcqplhBdZ1qflm0po1_500.jpg"/><br/><br/><p>Finally getting around to reading this…</p>http://allenstartsover.tumblr.com/post/49735519807http://allenstartsover.tumblr.com/post/49735519807Sun, 05 May 2013 19:58:33 -0500<p>For a while I&#8217;ve had a bunch of different things on my mind, and was writing up individual posts for them, but after seeing <a href="http://darcythrives.tumblr.com/" title="http://darcythrives.tumblr.com/" target="_blank">Darcy&#8217;s</a> &#8220;Things &amp; Stuff&#8221; posts I decided it&#8217;d be better to just lump them all together in one post.  Here goes:</p> <ul><li>I unexpectedly got to meet a fellow tumblr last night.  Me and some friends went up to  Huntsville to eat at an awesome Mexican restaurant and go see Iron Man 3.  While there I posted <a href="http://tmblr.co/Z0c3wxk9LiJw" title="http://tmblr.co/Z0c3wxk9LiJw" target="_blank">this</a> picture, and <a href="http://deanaisfindinghergroove.tumblr.com/" title="http://deanaisfindinghergroove.tumblr.com/" target="_blank">Deana</a> posted that she was there as well.  She ended up finding me, and we got to talk for a moment.  We met right as our food was coming out, so she let us eat, but when we were getting up to leave she came back just to say bye.  Protip: If you&#8217;re not already following her you should&#8230; she&#8217;s one of the nicest people you&#8217;ll ever come across, and is incredibly awesome.</li> <li>Deana is the third person I&#8217;ve met off tumblr (<a href="http://thisfearlesslife.tumblr.com/" title="http://thisfearlesslife.tumblr.com/" target="_blank">Anna</a> and <a href="http://michaeldoeslife.com/" title="http://michaeldoeslife.com/" target="_blank">Michael</a> being the other two&#8230; met them when the Do Life tour came through Nashville 2 years ago)  Looking forward to meeting many more.</li> <li>Monday I went to my doctor for a followup on my ER visit.  He cleared me to workout again, but I have to take it easy.  He specifically told me no more of the leg raise push downs.  I&#8217;m fine with that&#8230;</li> <li>I&#8217;m seriously considering moving to Birmingham.  I&#8217;ve lived in the same city all my life and just feel like nothing&#8217;s here for me anymore.  I feel like I need a fresh start.</li> <li>I&#8217;m getting better with the whole relationship thing.  I realized that what&#8217;s got me upset isn&#8217;t that she didn&#8217;t choose me, but that she was so willing to drop all contact with me.  I&#8217;m a very loyal person, and it&#8217;s hard for me to understand why someone would be so willing to just drop all communication with someone.  I realized that the same situation happened to me 10 years ago, and that&#8217;s what made me not date since then.  I guess I was depressed and just didn&#8217;t realize it till recently.  At any rate, I&#8217;m determined to not let that happen again.</li> <li>That being said I&#8217;ve been debating retooling my tumblr.  I&#8217;m still wanting to be mostly about my weight loss (and I really want to start posting more about my exercises and such), but I want focus a little on my mental and emotional health as well.  Sometimes I feel like it&#8217;s harder to open up to my IRL friends, or that I&#8217;m getting on their nerves by talking about it too much, and it&#8217;s nice to have a place where I can put my thoughts into words and get input and advice.</li> </ul><p>That&#8217;s pretty much it right now&#8230;  It was kinda nice getting this out&#8230;</p> <p><span>EDIT: Oh yeah, I&#8217;ve been thinking about changing my tumblr name, but can&#8217;t come up with a good one.  I wanted gettingittogether, but obviously that&#8217;s taken already.
